Infrared (IR) radiometers/spectrometers capable of measuring heat radiation through thermal infrared (TIR) bands with spatial resolutions between 60-1000m suitable for applications over land and sea. Relatively few broad TIR bands roughly covering wavelengths longer than about 7–8 µm. The additional filters applied via the Examples link below intentionally exclude TIR capable instruments for atmospheric chemistry.
